CommentsDebra Dunaway Tue, 07 Apr 2009 09:31:39 I hope the lake of responsive is not indicative of the amount of people intending to support this event!! friartuck Tue, 07 Apr 2009 17:11:53 Not a lot of comments but response has been great. We are expecting a great crowd. larry stubbs Wed, 08 Apr 2009 14:31:49 I would like to see the people attending the Lake City event also attend the one in Live Oak between 6:00 and 8:00pm, anyway that's my plan. Jesse Thu, 09 Apr 2009 18:42:49 Just found this sight. I'll be there with the whole gang so that makes 5 of us! Plus I'll get a couple guys from work. We're making signs too! Susan Thu, 09 Apr 2009 21:00:38 I attended the March 27 rally in Orlando where over 5000 people showed up. It was awesome to come together with so many likeminded people. Joe Fri, 10 Apr 2009 02:19:51 if anyone from Macclenney area is planning on attencing and can offer a ride to this blind veteran I would love to attend please contact me by e-mail Fri, 10 Apr 2009 02:33:29 If anyone can give Joe a ride, leave a note and I'll help you get connected. Thanks Brian Fri, 10 Apr 2009 10:21:27 I'll be at the Lake City Tea Party for sure!!! Doubtful I'll make the Live Oak one. Louise Fri, 10 Apr 2009 13:27:19 This is my first political rally...I am 58years old and feel this is my duty! We have been silenced long enough. Those folks in Washington need to wake up and smell the coffee.....can't wait to be with like minded people who love this wonderful United States of America. Coming from Fort White... we may be a small town but our voices are many! ethel Fri, 10 Apr 2009 13:42:09 Doing this for the grandkids....those liberals in Washington have pushed this ole grandma to the mad stage.....enough! See you all in Lake City, located in Columbia County. Proud to say we sure didn't vote Mr. Money Bags with our purses into power! See you all soon...Have a Blessed Easter! Fri, 10 Apr 2009 16:36:11 I hope to attend the tea party in Lake City or Live Oak. Not sure which one due to my work schedule. Sat, 11 Apr 2009 12:43:11 My name is Barry Foster and I am the activities director for the American Party of Florida. We are very interested in the TEA parties being held across the Sunshine State inasmuch as the organizers are interestd in the same goals as are we. Because these events all are being held on the same date, it is very difficult for us to have representatives at each of the rallies. Moreover, we are very sensitive to the fact that organizers want to keep them non-partisan and we do not want to infringe on that ideal. However, if there are people who want to keep this movement going past April 15, and feel that their representatives are not and have not been responsive to their requests, may we offer the American Party of Florida as an alternative? In point of fact, that is the very reason we created a new way, because we felt neither the Republicans or Democrats were addressing our needs. I would like to invite you to visit our web page at www.americanpartyofflorida.com and have a look around. If there are others in your group who still are looking past the rally, could you share this with them? We believe that together we can stop the insanity, much the same way our founding fathers did in 1776 but we need your help. Please share our web site with others and let us know what you think. Thank you and best of luck Barry Foster Sandy Sat, 11 Apr 2009 17:57:14 My husband and I will be attending the Lake City Tea Party! We live in Madison County and there is not one in the county. I work here in Lake City and listen to WJTK anytime I can. We have had enough Big Government! We pay plenty in taxes every year and we pay our own mortgage! The people in Washington have completely lost touch with "regular" Americans. Let's let them know how we really feel. I have already called my Senator and Representative, to tell them that I would not ever vote for anyone who supported the "Stimulus Bill" that nobody bothered to read, and I am more than ready to call them again and again, until they get the message. Tom Sun, 12 Apr 2009 06:09:24 There will be at least 6 of us coming from the Fort White area. PJ Sun, 12 Apr 2009 10:20:41 Can we secede from the Union again? Loretta Mon, 13 Apr 2009 03:23:46 I would have liked to see more coverage from the local newspaper prior to this event. I wouldn't have known about this event had I not searched it online. Glad I found you. friar tuck Mon, 13 Apr 2009 03:30:09 Glad you found us! We would love to have more coverage as well, we contacted the local papers, radio and TV stations but have gotten very little response. Advertising was simply not in the budget. Thanks to WJTK talk radio which has been promoting the Tea Party Mon, 13 Apr 2009 10:41:55 We will be there! I am bringing my daughter and husband, a little nervous about bringing her (7months old) but I dont think anything will get scary- never been to one so let me know if I am wrong! Larry Mon, 13 Apr 2009 11:15:17 I will be coming from Baker County. Let me know if Joe still wants that ride. Chris Summerlin Tue, 14 Apr 2009 18:35:07 My husband and I have planned to go to the Live Oak TEA party, but heard the commercial on JTK today and now plan to go to the one in Lake City first. We'll be in our American flag t-shirts and will have our own sign. Besides tea to drink, are we bringing symbolic tea bags? Regarding the comment about secession, folks, I think we're all going to have to "immigrate" to Texas, as they are the only state with the guaranteed right to secede. Wonder if those bumper stickers from the '80's are making a resurgence? Friar Tuck Tue, 14 Apr 2009 19:23:33 Thank you Larry for offering Joe a ride. We look forward to meeting you both at the Tea Party! joann and jim t Tue, 14 Apr 2009 20:58:01 WE plan on attending the lake city tea party as we are residents. i am also a native to fl, i am age 51 and my husband 55 this is our first time of attending anything like this, i Think more of us need to stand up for our rights and i feel this is a WONDERFUL THING. joann AND JIM Karen Streeter Wed, 15 Apr 2009 15:12:38 We could not go to the TEA Party in Lake City. Is there going to be one in Live Oak tonight? If so, we need some info about it. Thanks so much! Afton Wed, 15 Apr 2009 16:28:58 Karen, I hope you were able to find out that, yes, Live Oak is having one right now from 6-8pm. I hope you're there! I'm extremely happy w/ the turn out in Lake City today & I have a major boost of belief in the People of the United States. As I stated today, we MUST keep it going. Today's rally was NOT the end, but only just the beginning. If you haven't signed up for your local 912 Project, please do, & stay in the loop about meetings, rallies, events, & what's going on in the media & in legislation that YOU need to know! Our next meeting in Friday, 5/1, 6:30pm at the Vineyard Church on 441 across from Honda dealership in Lake City. Thank you to everyone who made today a marvelous success! Someone said TV20 was there, may want to check out the Jax news tonight. ;-) -Afton Markham Andrew D. Appleyard Wed, 15 Apr 2009 16:35:01 The guys at the Vets Hosp told me about it and then I didn't see any of the volunteers from the VA at the Tea Party. WJTK-FM did advertise on the 8:00AM to 9:00AM slot at least the day before. I try to listen to them to catch up on local stuff. Brandy Thu, 16 Apr 2009 09:07:27 Hey everybody! I have been praying for a day like yesterday for a long time, it was awesome to see everyone together fighting for our freedom, but but taxes arent the only thing that there are doing to us, they are poisoning us everyway they can. There spraying chemtrails on us, poisoning or food and water, there trying to dumb us down and/or kill us so we are more easily controlled. We need to do something about this too! Susan Thu, 16 Apr 2009 21:23:07 The tea party was awesome and inspiring. I was so glad to be there with so many American patriots. My favorite part of the event was the random speakers from the crowd. They were intelligent, informed, and passionate. It gives me hope for America and comfort knowing I'm not alone in my beliefs. God Bless America! Sat, 18 Apr 2009 23:56:16 WJTK-FM did advertise on the 8:00AM to 9:00AM slot at least the day before. I try to listen to them to catch up on local stuff. Larry Stubbs Sun, 26 Apr 2009 19:18:53 I'm interested in the 9/12 project. Can someone send me info on who to contact in Lake City.
